We had to do an assignment where we had to take a photo of ourselves, or our friends, hence the 'potrait' part. After that, we had to alter it in Photoshop, first by changing small things like contrast, but then, we could do whatever we wanted with it. I chose a photo of a classmate, who, as you can see, is very photogenic. This is partly because I just don't like to take photos of myself, but also because it'd just be a shame to hold back this piece of gold. I've added a filigrain-filter, to give the photo more effect, but also because I've always been interested in old black-and-white films.
